The results of the program have been outstanding. One teacher says: “Adopt A Class gives students the experience of meeting adults from the work world, as well as the opportunity to see that most adults see education as a value and an expectation for achieving success in life.” Other benefits to students include improved written and verbal communication skills, and improved attendance.

Adopt A Class is not a one-year solution to a complex problem. It is an ongoing, year after year process. Adopt A Class will continue to be in the school for as long as the school is interested in being involved in the program. Therefore, it creates lasting relationships between business groups and schools. Currently, 197 business and community groups are serving over 5000 students in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Since its inception in 2003 the program has maintained a 95% Adopter retention level. In fact 34% of Adopters have increased their involvement by adopting additional classes.
